The Crime Victims Compensation (CVC) Program provides financial assistance and reimbursement to victims of violent crime and their families with crime-related expenses. Compensable expenses include, but are not limited to, funeral and burial costs, medical and mental health expenses, lost wages, loss of support, crime scene clean up, and temporary emergency shelter and relocation. Description of the entrance:

CVC can be accessed off 5th St. NW in between E St NW and F St NW (see maps below). The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial is at the rear of the building, and the CVC entrance is on the opposite side of the building near the street. The entrance to the building has 3 large wooden doors. Once you go through the doors, security will be able to direct you to the CVC office.
