Domestic violence can happen to anyone and corporations can play a powerful role in supporting survivors and ending domestic violence in the District of Columbia. DC SAFE welcomes partnerships with corporations interested in supporting survivors of domestic violence and the life-saving work of DC SAFE.
Ways to Support DC SAFE
Many corporations offer employee giving programs or giving circles. By nominating DC SAFE as a recipient of a gift you can directly support SAFE’s critical programs for survivors.
Many corporations offer employee matching gifts, which can double or triple your donation and enable SAFE to reach more survivors. Please contact your Human Resources Department for information on your company’s matching gift process.
Consider sponsoring SAFE’s annual event Keep DC SAFE. Held in October this event is attended by more than 150 people, including prominent community members. Event sponsors are featured at the event and on SAFE’s website and social media communications.
Many corporations offer grant support through company foundations but organizations must first be nominated by an employee. Consider nominating DC SAFE for a corporate foundation grant.
Organize an in-kind donation drive. DC SAFE’s clients often come to DC SAFE with little other than the clothes that they are wearing. For information on in-kind donations requested by DC SAFE please click here.
Request a training about domestic violence. DC SAFE is available to provide training on domestic violence, which can be customized to your organization’s needs. A monetary donation may be requested for training services received.
